We are seeking a skilled Water Treatment Engineer to support the performance, reliability, and optimization of ultrapure and wastewater treatment systems in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with reverse osmosis (RO) and ion exchange (IX) systems, strong data analysis skills, and a proven ability to troubleshoot and enhance complex water treatment processes.
Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assess the condition and performance of reverse osmosis membranes and ion exchange resins.
  • Analyze operational data (pressure, flow rate, conductivity, recovery rate) to detect degradation, fouling, or scaling.
  • Track membrane and resin lifecycles to determine replacement or refurbishment needs.
  • Evaluate resin performance to maintain optimal ion-exchange capacity and water quality
  • Develop and implement regeneration sequences for ion exchange resins to maximize lifespan and efficiency.
  • Adjust maintenance schedules based on system performance data and trends.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize chemical dosing and regeneration parameters to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
  • Identify and analyze biological, chemical, or particulate fouling sources.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to modify operational parameters or implement pre-treatment strategies.
  • Monitor scaling indices and anti-scalant dosing programs; adjust as needed to prevent scaling and maintain system health.
  • Analyze operational data and adjust system parameters (pressure, flow, recovery rate) to optimize performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure RO and IX units consistently meet ultrapure water quality standards while minimizing energy and chemical use.
  • Develop, update, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with performance and safety standards.
  • Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.
Skills Required:
  • 5+ years in wastewater or ultrapure water treatment system operations and maintenance engineering.
  • Candidates with 1-3 years of engineering experience and strong RO/IX system knowledge will also be considered.
  • Semiconductor or high-purity water treatment experience is a plus.
  • Strong technical knowledge of reverse osmosis and ion exchange systems.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret and act on complex system data.
Education / Licenses / Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.
