If you are excited by building systems that process millions of messages per second and handle exabytes of data, this role could be a great fit.

What you'll do

  • Drive design, development, and enhancement of core features and functionalities of our observability platform, using cutting‑edge technologies to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, guiding and mentoring a team of software engineers to achieve technical excellence and deliver high‑quality code.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and implement robust, scalable, and efficient systems that meet customer needs.
  • Research and experiment with innovative solutions to stay ahead of industry trends and improve our platform.
  • Partner with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions, promoting best practices and a collaborative environment.
  • Proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks to maintain stability and availability.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, improvement, and innovation within the engineering team.

This role requires

  • 3+ years of programming experience with an object‑oriented language (Java preferred).
  • Proven experience with REST APIs (GraphQL a plus).
  • Experience deploying and managing distributed systems.
  • Effective asynchronous collaboration supporting distributed, cross‑continent teams.
  • Passion for build and test automation and its impact on efficiency and reliability.
  • Collaborative work style with shared code ownership.
  • Ability to deliver production code in a fast‑paced, Agile environment.
  • Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals.
  • Comfort with the command line and resolving issues directly.

Bonus points if you have

  • Experience developing and operating a 24x7 SaaS business.
  • Experience or interest in database implementation.
  • Experience working in distributed teams; ability to work well asynchronously across North America and Europe.

Note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
