- Develop and execute test plans to validate product designs and manufacturing process innovations against internal and external requirements.
- Create functional prototypes and manufacturable products using 3D CAD and hands‑on rapid prototyping.
- Develop and maintain meticulous engineering documentation, including 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, test plans, and test reports.
- Apply first‑principles thinking to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges throughout the development lifecycle.
- Simultaneously manage multiple projects from start to finish in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment, ensuring timelines and technical goals are met.
- Collaborate with Product Management, manufacturing technicians, test engineers, and external partners to ensure seamless product integration.
- Research and apply industry trends, emerging materials, and advanced manufacturing processes to keep our products at the cutting edge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience, with a strong portfolio of successfully launched products.
- Proven aptitude for developing innovative product solutions and leveraging novel technology to satisfy customer needs.
- Extensive experience with root‑cause failure analysis and technical problem‑solving for product design and manufacturing processes development.
- Experience with design verification and validation.
- Experience with 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo).
- Design experience for wearable technology, consumer electronics, or other miniaturized, high‑volume products is strongly preferred.
- Experience working with thermoplastic elastomers and familiarity with thin film extrusion, film lamination, and thermal bonding is a plus.
Who You Are
- Owner: full ownership mindset from concept to completion.
- Proactive driver: self‑starter who can “catch the vision and run with it.”
- Team player: natural collaborator who communicates clearly and works effectively with cross‑functional teams.
