Job Title: Welder


Job Description


We are seeking a skilled welder to fit and fabricate steel parts and structures for the manufacturing and building of heavy machinery used in the plywood manufacturing industry.


Responsibilities




  • Perform MIG welding including FCAW .045 and GMAW .035 Hard Wire.




  • Read and interpret blueprints for fabrication projects.




  • Use shop equipment to fabricate components.




  • Ensure precision and quality in fitting and fabricating steel parts.




Essential Skills




  • At least 2 years of experience in welding using FCAW and GMAW processes.




  • Proficiency in reading blueprints.




  • Experience in fitting and welding.




Additional Skills & Qualifications




  • Experience with flux core and MIG welding.




  • Strong fabrication skills.

Work Environment


Work in an industrial fab shop environment where welding, fabrication, and machining of metal occur. Expect a loud atmosphere in some areas and a metals manufacturing setting that may not be the cleanest. Steel-toed boots are required. The position operates on a day shift from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday.

This is a Contract position based out of Portland, Oregon.


Pay and Benefits


The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
