Job Summary:
The Material Handler supports the Shipping, Receiving, and Stockroom functions in a cross-trained capacity, ensuring efficient material movement throughout the organization. This role involves handling physical and administrative inventory tasks, maintaining high accuracy, and supporting multiple departments including Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Global Trade Compliance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of working independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-complexity electronics environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by verifying part numbers, revisions, and counts.
  • Accurately transact and track materials in the ERP system (SAP).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve inventory discrepancies, missing materials, or transactional errors.
  • Pull and issue materials for Production, Service, and Engineering based on work orders, Kanban bins, and routers.
  • Count, stock, and label materials in designated locations.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Planning, and Quality teams to manage discrepant materials and inventory adjustments.
  • Coordinate and complete material router transactions for engineering projects, scrap, and excess inventory.
  • Perform cycle counts and periodic inventory audits, analyzing and correcting variances.
  • Assist with Receiving operations—verifying purchase orders (POs), RMAs, and entering data into SAP.
  • Support Shipping operations, processing sales and service orders, coordinating with logistics and freight carriers.
  • Utilize Excel and SAP to analyze materials, shipments, and ERP master data for problem resolution.

Required Experience:
  • 2–5 years of experience in a low-volume, high-complexity electronics environment within Warehousing, Shipping, or Receiving.
  • Proficient with ERP/MRP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Proven track record of inventory management accuracy and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with freight systems (FedEx, UPS, Freight Forwarders).
Nice-to-Have Experience:
  • Experience supporting global trade compliance processes.
  • Knowledge of quality systems and supply chain operations.

Required Skills:
  • ERP (SAP) transaction accuracy and data integrity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods (80% of shift).
Preferred Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Detail orientation and calmness under pressure.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and web-based tools.
  • Customer-service mindset and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
