What You'll Do: This position will be responsible for performing packaging machine operation. Packer 2 employees must receive training according to the applicable work instructions prior to operating the machine. Only Department Trainers or other department personnel that have completed the necessary specific "Train the Trainer" training may conduct training.

Essential Functions:

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), company policies, safety policies and practices, quality standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Responsible at all times for ensuring that tasks are performed according to food safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Wear proper GMP and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) attire for all tasks including shoe covers, gowns, hair restraint(s), gloves, masks, sleeve covers, hearing protection, safety glasses, etc.
  • Ensure proper clean room attire is worn in the clean room.
  • Understand and adhere to Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
  • Assist in performing line clearance and cleaning once one process order is complete before starting the next.
  • Perform any and all duties and responsibilities of a Packer 1 when needed.
  • Operate packaging equipment including an Ohlson high speed bottling machine, WeighPack machine, AMS, Auto Labeler machine, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
