Adjunct Instructor, Initial and Advanced Educator Licensing, School of EducationJob SummaryThe University of Portland School of Education invites applications for Adjunct Instructors in the following areas: Initial Educator Licensing and Advanced Educator Licensing.Under Initial Educator Licensing:Foundational literacy emphasizing the science of reading for pre‑service elementary teachersCognition and human development (pre‑adolescent and adolescent) for pre‑service teachersSocial and cultural foundationsUnder Advanced Educator Licensing:Reading endorsement courses for practicing teachers preparing for reading interventionist rolesLeadership development for principal and professional licensureThis position requires course instruction with three in‑person class contact hours per week per section, maintaining regular availability to meet with students, and participation in department orientation and trainings.
