Your experience may influence the work you are assigned, but you are looking to expand your expertise. -The Day-to-Day: -

  • Research and provide legal and regulatory analysis and advice on financial services and investment management, privacy, employment and other laws and regulations globally
  • Conduct legal analysis of complex topics and translating this analysis into practical and succinct legal advice
  • Participate in ad-hoc regulatory and business projects, which may include implementation of new legislation or regulatory requirements
  • Launch new regulated entities (including incorporation and licensing)
  • Draft or review various documents related to legal support of the business globally, which may include commercial contracts, employment agreements, investment management agreements, fund documentation, policies, business guidelines
  • Handle corporate law and commercial matters
  • Handle employment law and litigation matters
  • Draft, review and negotiate vendor contracts
  • Coordinate with external counsel on various matters
  • Train and mentor paralegals, fellow lawyers and business colleagues on new or changing regulations and other mattersYour Qualifications: -
  • Law degree from an accredited law school, with admission to a bar
  • 6+ years' post-qualification experience, with at least 3 years of experience at a mid to large sized law firm
  • Skill in effectively balancing business interests against legal and regulatory risks, and factoring in the bigger picture, strategic goals
  • Familiarity with international investment management, employment or privacy laws in various jurisdictions will be beneficial, but not mandatoryCompensation: -
  • $195,000 - $285,000 base salary per year in the state of WA. New hires should expect to start at the lower end of the range depending on experience.
