Senior Accountant (Temporary) Fully Remote | OR/WA Candidates Only $40–$45/hour DOE CV Resources is partnering with a well-respected, mission-driven nonprofit financial institution to identify a Senior Accountant for an immediate temporary engagement. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative team making a meaningful impact throughout the Pacific Northwest while helping stabilize accounting operations during a critical period. This is a true temporary position with an anticipated duration of at least two months, though strong performers could be considered for a longer-term opportunity as organizational needs evolve. What You'll Be Doing Prepare and post journal entries during month-end close Perform complex account reconciliations and balance sheet analysis Review and approve journal entries prepared by staff accountants Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules Review and approve higher-dollar transactions requiring senior-level oversight Reconcile loan and debt-related accounts Support accounting operations during a period of transition and growth Assist with process improvement initiatives and upcoming system implementations What We're Looking For 5 years of progressive accounting experience Strong month-end close and financial reporting experience Advanced reconciliation and general ledger expertise Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment Strong Excel skills and overall systems aptitude Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred Power BI experience is a plus Excellent communication skills and a hands-on mentality Environment & Team Fully remote position (must reside in Oregon or Washington) Collaborative team of five accounting professionals Opportunity to work closely with leadership and help provide stability during a key transition period Lean, supportive environment where flexibility and teamwork are highly valued If you're a seasoned Senior Accountant who can quickly step into a dynamic environment, roll up your sleeves, and make an immediate impact, we'd love to hear from you.
