As a Customer Service Representative, you play the crucial role of supporting our accounts and other account representatives by providing unmatched and thorough customer service. Your ability to demonstrate OGCs values and relationship marketing model to ensure quality & service expectations will contribute to the overall success of our company and produce trade.

**Heres what youll do:**

* Accurate and timely processing of account orders via all channels; phone, email and B2B online platforms. Plans and organizes a daily work schedule to service existing customers.

* Assist Account Representative and other sales team members in serving accounts, may on occasion be asked to participate in store-level outreach.

* Maintains a basic understanding of OGCs products, quality, pack, promotions, substitutions, pricing and services to be able to match products to account needs and increase sales volume. Must have an understanding of account needs and preferences, and how best to service each account.

* Maintains familiarity with daily push and upsell items and proactively communicates deals to accounts.

* Ensures all orders are accurately documented and entered the computer system. Proactively communicates with other departments to ensures orders include all necessary instructions regarding specific products, producers, and prices. Keeps Buyers informed of account requests and projected volume. Monitors all expected orders for the day to ensure they are accounted for.

* Communicates service issues to Account Representative and other departments as needed. Supports in resolution of issues, leading to account satisfaction.

* Exemplifies Passion for Produce: Frequently inspects and tastes produce in stock to stay current on quality, pack, and other conditions. May accompany Account Representatives on occasional visits to OGC farm suppliers.

* Processes credit requests, determines reason for loss, and informs Account Representative, Buyers and Quality Team of quality issues. Provides appropriate follow-up.

* May be asked to be the key relationship contact for small accounts as assigned.

* Exemplifies OGCs five core attitudes and behaviors and looks to the best interest of the company protecting company assets.

**Qualified candidates will have:**

* High school diploma with minimum of two years of customer service in the commercial produce industry

* Experience with fresh produce varieties, organic trade, growing practices, sustainability movement or produce merchandizing.

* Excellent verbal and written communication including attention to detail, strong organization skills, and basic financial literacy.

* Ability to develop strong relationships to gain support and achieve results.

* Ability to listen and identify client needs and inform Account Representative or Sales Manager of potential improvements.

* Manage multiple conflicting priorities, deal with ambiguity, and exemplify process management, while maintaining composure and exercising organizational agility.

* Experience with service and marketing policies preferred.

* Experience with product labels preferred.

**Physical Requirements:**

This position requires the ability to sit for long periods of time, hear and converse over the telephone and in person, key data efficiently and accurately frequently on a computer. Requires ability to accurately receive and disseminate information to maintain and enhance relationships. Ability to meet above description of position with or without reasonable accommodation.
