Title: Kitter/Material HandlerDepartment: WarehouseReports to: Warehouse ManagerLocation: Onsite, Hillsboro, ORThe Kitter/Material Handler is responsible for ensuring the orderly production and distribution of products while maintaining a safe and orderly working space for the warehouse team and staying in communication with colleagues. They will need to work well as part of a team and have a strong work ethic, including an understanding of and desire to meet established deadlines, expediting tasks where necessary.Location: This position will be on site at the HIS Innovations Group corporate headquarters in Hillsboro, Oregon-just 10 minutes west of Downtown Portland.Benefits: As an employee of HIS Innovations Group, you will enjoy a variety of benefits, including Health Care, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-term and Long-term Disability, Health Savings Account, Flexible Spending Account, 401(k) with company match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and a casual work environment.Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Daily schedule has some flexibility.Responsibilities: Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product final distribution. Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area. Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders. Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies. Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations. Collects and properly disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping; maintains a safe and clean work environment. Ensures material is being moved to the next operation in line within SLA. Lifts and unloads heavy pallets, both by hand and by machine, and safely relocate them elsewhere in the warehouse or prepare them for transport. Answers emails from internal customers and responds in a timely manner. Lifts and maneuvers heavy and/or odd shaped material. Escalates part shorts and missing material in a timely manner. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Good math and written communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Efficient time management skills. Able to operate manual pallet jacks. ERP / WMS experience. Experience using WMS systems and handheld warehouse scanners.
