Summary: Prepare capital equipment for shipment. Builds skids and crates. Uses cranes and forklifts as needed to pick and set equipment on trucks. Protects equipment with padding and tarps.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Protect & tarp equipment. Accurately record items on the picklist.
Operate a 5k, 9k, or 15k lift truck to transport equipment and use overhead crane.
Take pictures of equipment loaded on trucks or placed in crates. Lists equipment part number on packing lists.
Using stairs, ladders or scissor lifts to secure equipment and use overhead crane.
Assist in the carpenters shop as needed.

Non-Essential Job FunctionsKeep communication clip board current and accurate.
Assists with creation of SWIs and contributes to departmental SOPs
Routinely cleans area and keeps tools and equipment maintained.

Knowledge, skills and/or abilities: Knowledge-Skills-- Knowledge of load distribution and DOT guidelines a plus.

- Ability to operate Forklifts & cranes
- Experience with Radial Arm Saw, Skill Saw, and Table Saws
- Basic Computer skills
- High attention to detail

Education and/or Experience: - High school diploma or GED
- 1-3 Years experience
