**Assembler**

**Location:** Portland, OR

**Your Challenge:**

* Assembles fabricated parts to relatively small or light subassemblies and complete units.

* Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.

* Operates small hand tools such as drills, sanders, rubber presses, de-burring lathes, tapers and other processing equipment as well as simple machinery.

* May operate a CNC machine center.

* Produces parts within specifications according to prints and the defined manufacturing processes.

* Keeps records as required.

* The role may also be required to perform the following:

+ Full time machine operation

+ Shipping and Receiving

+ Material Handling

+ Facilities Support Helper

+ Part Inspection

+ Routine machine maintenance

+ Training of less experienced employees

**Your Expertise:**

* 2+ years of relevant experience in a mechanical assembly function and/or a manufacturing environment.

* High School Diploma or equivalent required.

* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and production specification documents.

* Demonstrates manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude.

This position may require exposure to information which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of U.S. regulations.
