Get a jump start on your career at Knife River! We are currently looking for dedicated Loader Operator join our skilled Asphalt department today!

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Travel between asphalt plants depending on work load at each location
- Operate loader to feed aggregate to asphalt and ready mix plants
- Run and maintain rail off load system for rock deliveries
- Stockpile incoming material, monitor stockpile volumes and coordinate deliveries
- Assist in the maintenance and housekeeping of the asphalt, ready mix plants and the rail off load system
- This position will include asphalt load out when needed and will require night shifts and weekends when needed
- Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed
- Other duties assigned as needed

Compensation:
The wage range for this position is $22.39-$27.10/hr.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Experience in the safe and efficient operation of a loader
- Experience with conveyors, aggregate systems, mechanical and fabrication skills
- Ability to operate automated control systems, and have working knowledge of computers
- Ability to communicate effectively while maintaining positive interactions with others under stressful situations
- Must be highly motivated and a self starter with the drive to expand job knowledge and skills
- Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, physical/functional exam and drug screen
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, night shifts, and overtime
- Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members
