Job Title: Welder and FabricatorJob DescriptionAs a Welder and Fabricator, you will lay out, fit, and weld fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames and parts. You must have 3-5+ years of MIG welding experience, the ability to read blueprints, and fitting/fabrication experience.ResponsibilitiesIdentify universal weld symbols and various materialsSet up and operate welding equipmentLayout, position, align, and fit components togetherRead and interpret work specifications, work orders, blueprints, and schematicsVisually inspect completed welds to ensure adherence to specificationsPerform air arc gouging when removing welds or preparing weld jointsWeld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positionsAccurately cut, clean, de-burr, and prep parts for weldingUtilize rigging and crane/jib equipmentEssential Skills3-5+ years of MIG welding experienceProficiency in reading blueprintsFitting and fabrication experienceAbility to perform spray arc weldingExperience in an industrial fab shop working with large-scale partsAdditional Skills & QualificationsStrong understanding of weld symbolsExperience with metal-cored wire/flux core weldingAbility to work in various welding positions, primarily flatWhy Work Here?Our company partners with customers around the globe and maintains a strong foothold in multiple markets, ensuring job security and stability for employees. Overtime, if required, will typically be scheduled at the start of the shift. The work environment includes exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and high, precarious places.
