Responsibilities

  • Provide in-home care services to clients in the Gresham area.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation, light housework, medication assistance.
  • Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or behavior to the care team.
  • Follow care plans and instructions provided by the care team.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to ensure their needs are met.

Qualifications

  • Previous Caregiving Experience: Personal or professional experience in caregiving is a plus.
  • Empathy and Compassion: A deep understanding and sensitivity to the emotional and physical needs of the person being cared for, with a genuine desire to improve their quality of life.
  • Patience: The ability to remain calm, understanding, and tolerant, especially in challenging or repetitive situations
  • Attention to Detail: Observant and able to notice any changes in the health or well-being of the individual.
  • Communication Skills: Effective, clear, and compassionate communication to ensure the person being cared for feels understood and to provide updates to family members when necessary.Problem-Solving Abilities: Quick thinking and the ability to adapt to changing situations, often needing to find solutions independently.
  • Time Management: Capable of organizing and completing caregiving tasks efficiently.
  • English Communication: Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally (in person and on the phone) and in writing.
  • Respect and Dignity: Ability to treat and care for clients and their property with dignity and respect.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to various living environments and locations.
  • Travel Ability: Ability to travel at least 15 miles one way to an assignment.
  • Willingness to consent to client safety devices that may include recording devices.
