We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Paving Equipment Operator to join our team. This position involves operating heavy equipment such as paving machines, rollers, motor graders, and other machinery for road construction and maintenance projects. The operator will ensure quality asphalt application, perform routine maintenance, and adhere to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate asphalt paving machines, rollers, motor graders, and other heavy equipment.
- Adjust machine settings to ensure proper asphalt application, thickness, and smoothness.
- Assist with surface preparation, including grading, leveling, and cleaning.
- Conduct daily inspections and routine maintenance on equipment.
- Follow safety protocols, wear PPE, and remain aware of surroundings.
- Collaborate with the paving crew, foreman, and project managers to ensure project success.
- Previous experience with paving equipment (e.g., asphalt paver, roller, skid steer) preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and equipment maintenance.
- Knowledge of asphalt paving processes and techniques.
- Strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.
- Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude.
