• Reviews daily production schedule and reports to appropriate bottling line.
• Stamps Julian code on outside of cases using had held stamper.
• Removes sealed and labeled cases at end of bottling line and places on pallet according to appropriate configuration.
• Requires frequent bending at waist level; some bending to the floor to build pallet.
• Using a squeeze bottle, distributes glue over layer of cases as part of palletizing process.
• Builds multiple layers of cases to predetermined level for shipping.
• Cleans work area by sweeping and removing trash.
• Assists in other production areas including spice line, labeling, and gift packs.
• Records information on pallet tags, such as product name, case count, and date packaged.

• Education/Experience

  some high school education, and up to one month related experience and/or training; prior work in food processing or food handling in a restaurant is a plus; packaging experience in production environment is a plus.

  
  

• Language Skills

  ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences in English.

  
  

• Math Skills

  ability to add, subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American weight measurement and volume.

  
  

• Reasoning Ability

  ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  
  

• Physical Demands

  while performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25lbs and occasionally up to 50lbs.
