Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior CNC Machinist to join our team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with extensive experience in CNC programming, setup, and machining. The Senior CNC Machinist will be responsible for producing high-precision parts, troubleshooting equipment, and mentoring junior machinists to ensure optimal workflow and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up, operate, and program CNC mills, lathes, and other precision machining equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, CAD/CAM files, and technical drawings.
  • Use G-code and M-code programming to optimize machining processes.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery.
  • Ensure all parts meet tight tolerances and quality standards through inspections and measurements.
  • Utilize precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and CMMs.
  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to refine machining processes.
  • Train and mentor junior machinists and apprentices.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, following all OSHA and company safety protocols.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • 5+ years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in G-code/M-code programming and experience with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidWorks).
  • Strong understanding of metals, plastics, and other materials used in machining.
  • Ability to troubleshoot machine errors, tooling issues, and process inefficiencies.
  • Experience with multi-axis CNC machining (3-axis, 4-axis, 5-axis preferred).
  • Strong math and geometry skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or technical certification in CNC Machining, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience working in aerospace, medical, automotive, or high-precision manufacturing industries.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems for job tracking and scheduling.
