Multifamily NW, formerly known as Metro Multifamily Housing Association (MMHA), represents residential property managers, owners, and vendors throughout Portland, Southern Washington, and down through the Willamette Valley to Medford. Our members manage over 200,000 units and provide a wide range of services to the industry. Multifamily NW is dedicated to promoting professionalism for rental housing providers and partners through education, comprehensive forms, and advocacy efforts.


Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role located in Tigard, OR. The Member Relationship Manager is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with the association's members, by utilizing their excellent communication skills and phenomenal customer service abilities. At least 20 hours in office per week is expected, with flexibility during travel weeks.


Responsibilities:

  • Primarily responsible for acquiring new members and meeting annual membership goals
  • Promote benefits of membership to vendors and property management companies
  • Encourage member involvement and retention and function as primary point of contact for member relations
  • Primary liaison for membership committee and in charge of monthly membership reporting
  • Primary liaison for regional councils, including meetings, events, and member outreach (including regular travel to Salem, Bend, and Eugene; occasional travel to Medford)
  • Annually conduct a member needs assessment through survey or 3rd party
  • Annually review and update member benefits and information based on needs assessment
  • Monitor quarterly membership goals
  • Identification and management of prospective new members and primarily responsible for prospect outreach
  • Coordinate with education/event and communication staff for regional materials and emails
  • Supports events by assisting in obtaining sponsorships and event attendance
  • Attendance at all association events and function as back-up on site for events team
  • Keep up with local and regional Chambers of Commerce and participate when applicable


Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or prior Sales Experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Proficient time management skills
  • Microsoft Office or equivalent
  • Flexibility in schedule, ability to travel


Industry knowledge and/or experience is preferred.
