ACC is a provider agency that works with people who experience developmental disabilities to assist them in living independently by teaching them life skills so they can meet their goals. No experience needed; all you need is a love for helping people, we will train the rest.

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you'll work directly with clients either in their homes or within the community of North East Portland, guiding them to reach their goals. This is a Part-Time position (20- 29 hours per week).

Job Duties:

• Work one-on-one with clients to meet their daily needs and achieve their goals. Including but not limited to grocery shopping, light household cleaning/organization, meal preparation and planning, assisting with accessing the community and appointments
• Providing transportation for clients to get out into the community
• Encourage community involvement and discovering hobbies whether in the community or through our group activity program
• Model appropriate social interactions and break down information
• Provide accurate and support centered case management notes

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Desire to help others
• 18 years of age or older with valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation and willing to use personal vehicle to transport clients
• Must possess a clean driving record
• Ability to work in the NE Portland area
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to prepare written reports via computer or smart phone using proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar in the English language
• Flexibility with respect to hours of work and changing conditions
• Training and/or interest in the field of developmental disabilities
