GENERAL SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Family Programming Director, the Family Programming Lead is responsible for caring for children ages six weeks through five years; assist the Family Programming Director to ensure all team members provide a safe, clean, fun environment for children; execute and support the department's established guidelines and standards.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS
- Care for children ages six weeks through twelve years
- Provide a safe, clean environment including sanitizing toys and play areas, check and change diapers, pick up toys, and wipe down tables and counters
- Ensure the entire childcare space is supervised and that every zone with a child is staffed
- Ensure that all items on the opening and closing operations checklists are completed
- Greet parents and children with a smile; invite children to join activities
- Ensure interaction with children at all times; ensure that all children are engaged with a special focus on older, shy and/or bored children; comfort and assist crying children
- Organize and implement age-appropriate activities such as craft time and story time
- Ensure team members work actively and efficiently while on shift
- Ensure children are treated with responsive respectfulness, i.e. coached vs. scolded; discuss behavior tactfully and out of range of child's hearing
- Assist staff regarding sick procedures and update director regarding schedule changes
- Be present on the floor; support staff and offer assistance as necessary
- Perform administrative duties including, but not limited to, updating Connect, communicating with members, and creating marketing materials
- Meet weekly with Family Programming Director to review initiatives and goals; develop programming
- Act as the department representative when necessary in the event that the Family Programming Director is not present; professionally and appropriately field member questions/concerns.
- Train staff to meet or exceed demands of the business; provide feedback and build relationships
- Communicate timely and follow up as appropriate
- Active participation in events, programs, meetings and training
- Represent the club in a professional manner through image, dress, communication, and immediate follow through and response
- Monitor staff to ensure compliance with company guidelines

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE - Minimum one (1) year of experience caring for children in daycare or babysitting environment
- Ability to create and implement innovative children's programs
- Love for children and extensive experience caring for children ages 6 weeks to 13 years
- Professional, friendly manner and excellent customer service attitude and abilities
- Strong verbal communication and conflict resolution skills
- Enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable team player
- Self-motivated, takes initiative and willing to acquire new skills
- Well organized and detail oriented
- Computer literate
- CPR certification required
