Job Summary:

The Senior Leave and Workers' Compensation Specialist at a Natural Foods Organization will manage and administer the company's leave of absence and workers' compensation programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws like FMLA, ADA, and OSHA. This role will support employees through the leave process, investigate work-related injuries, and help identify accommodations or modified duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee FMLA administration, including documentation, eligibility, and return-to-work processes.
• Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding leave and workers' compensation concerns.
• Manage the workers' compensation process from injury to return to work, including coordinating with vendors.
• Advise managers and employees on leave policies, workers' compensation, and accommodations.
• Administer and support the Paid Leave Oregon program.
• Review medical certifications, resolve discrepancies, and handle return-to-work procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with company policies, including food safety regulations.
• Provide training and guidance to supervisors and staff on leave-related matters.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in workers' compensation and leave administration.
• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field.
• Specialized training in workers' compensation and leave management.
• Strong knowledge of US and Oregon employment law and HR trends.
• Effective communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.

Additional Qualifications:

• SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.

This position reports to the Human Resources Manager and does not involve supervisory responsibilities.
