Design, build and operate database infrastructure that meet or exceed Service Level Agreements & provide real-time operational support by responding to support tickets, system alerts and direct customer engagements; patch, upgrade, migrate and retire databases & meet Operating Level Agreements between internal teams; support of audit and compliance functions; provide engineering expertise for assigned projects & continuously improve internal platforms for supervising and alerting; reactive performance diagnosis and remediation; proactive benchmarking, tuning and consistency to defined metrics; technology prototyping, benchmarking and addressing partners; planning through collaboration with peers within Windows, Server Virtualization, Data Virtualization, Storage / Backup and Network teams; automation of routine tasks through one or more programming languages and/or orchestration platforms such as Python, Ansible, and Terraform; and integration of cloud methodologies for next generation deployment of Oracle. Builds, maintains, and improves documentation, such as Jira, runbooks, knowledgebase articles, and technical specifications. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S., except from AK, AL, AR, DE, HI, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MT, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, RI, SD, VT, WV, and WY.
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or an engineering-related occupation. Experience must include:
