Craftsperson:

Ace Handyman Services Portland is seeking a professional Craftsperson to join our tight-knit team! We are Portland's top-rated handyman business, bringing helpful services to Portland area homes since 2010. Our mission is to continue the premium customer experience found in Ace Hardware stores to our customers' homes by helping with their home improvement needs.

Job Summary:

As a full-time Craftsperson, you will visit Portland area homes, providing quality craftsmanship and friendly customer service.

Responsibilities:

1. Confirm customer appointments and arrive at homes on-time
2. Estimate scope of work and communicate to customer for approval
3. Provide quality, warrantied craftsmanship
4. Maintain a clean and tidy workspace
5. Ensure customer satisfaction and collect payment
6. Partner with office team members to provide a superior customer experience

Basic Qualifications:

1. 7+ years of experience as a carpenter, handyman, and/or tradesperson
2. Multi-skilled in carpentry, tiling, painting, drywall, and light plumbing and electrical
3. Great attitude with ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
4. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
5. Strong organizational and multitasking skills
6. Comfortable invoicing customers and taking payments
7. Proficient at using email and smartphone to manage work assignments
8. Own a standard set of carpentry tools
9. Ability to pass a drug test and background check

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Customer service experience
2. Project management skills
3. Management and leadership skills
4. Experience as a trainer
5. Estimation skills
6. Home inspection experience
7. Strong documentation skills

Job Type: Monday through Friday with protected days off Saturday and Sunday.

Location: Portland Metro Area

Compensation: $28 - 30 an hour
