About the Position

As ourSenior Director of Development for Corporate Engagement, you will be responsible for growing a sustainable corporate relations program at the OHSU Foundation. You'll work closely with teams across OHSU and the Foundation, including OHSU Innovates, Knight Strategic Alliances, faculty, and external partners, to create and grow meaningful partnerships with companies whose goals align with OHSU's mission in education, research, and clinical care. In this role, you'll focus on increasing support from corporate and industry partners, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure our outreach to corporations, corporate foundations, and related organizations is thoughtful, strategic, and well-coordinated.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead corporate fundraising strategy in collaboration with OHSU and OHSUF partners; introduce best practices and innovative initiatives.

  • Work across OHSU and OHSUF to streamline corporate partner engagement and build strategic alliances to grow corporate philanthropy.

  • Build and manage a portfolio of corporate prospects and donors with giving potential between $50,000–$1,000,000+.

  • Cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate prospects through outreach, engagement, and collaboration with OHSU partners.

  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to develop strategies that align with institutional priorities and secure corporate gifts and grants.

  • Collaborate with OHSU alliance teams to identify and grow existing industry relationships for philanthropic opportunities.

  • Conduct strategy and solicitation meetings with corporate and foundation representatives.

  • Communicate complex scientific ideas in accessible ways for corporate audiences.

  • Develop policies, procedures, and recognition packages to support cohesive corporate engagement and stewardship.

  • Identifynew corporate partners andre-engage lapsed corporate relationships.

You should have

  • 10+ years of experience in corporate fundraising, business development, or partnership management.
  • Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or an academic/research setting.

  • Experience building corporate giving or sponsorship programs.

  • Preferred experience: Experience in higher education or non-profit organizations, PhD in life sciences or related discipline, and working knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM tools.

Working Conditions

  • Occasional hours outside of normal work hours for meetings, events or programs.

  • Can be remote with frequent travel required, including overnight. Can anticipate travel every 4-6 weeks, depending on location.
