Northwest Pump is seeking a Purchasing Manager to join our team. This position will be at the forefront of our procurement department optimizing our supply chain, identifying top-tier suppliers, and leading our dynamic purchasing team. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives, including cost reduction, supplier optimization, and risk management.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality goods and services.
• Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals; provide ongoing guidance, training, and support.
• Drive the integration of systems and processes resulting from mergers and acquisitions, ensuring seamless alignment and functionality across platforms.
• Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations to make informed decisions, optimize costs, and maximize value for the organization.
• Collaborate with S&OP Manager on inventory levels, minimize excess inventory, and ensure that materials are available as needed while avoiding shortages.
• Identify and pursue cost-saving opportunities.
• Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.
• Work with Product Managers and/or S&OP Manager to identify, evaluate, and select suppliers as needed.
• Ensure all procurement activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
• Generate and present regular reports on procurement performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs), to executive leadership team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, finance, or a related field highly preferred.
• Two or more years proven experience in a purchasing role, including a minimum of one year in a leadership role, required.
• Experience with mergers & acquisitions and systems integrations preferred.
• Familiarity with the industrial equipment or distribution industry a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and cost analysis.
• Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance.
• Proactive and analytical mindset with ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
• Advocate for effective change management and adaptability.
• Collaborative; ability to work effectively across a variety of departments.
• Strong organizational and time management skills; detail-oriented.
• Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with all levels of customers and coworkers; ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and reference checks.
