Job Title:

Parking Lot Attendant / Lot Auditor

Non-Exempt

Compensation:

$9.00 - $17.00 per hour (rates vary by market)

Position Summary:

The Parking Lot Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient parking experience for guests. Responsibilities include directing vehicles, assisting customers, monitoring parking lot activity, and maintaining a safe, organized, and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, attentive to detail, and capable of working outdoors in various conditions.

Primary Objectives:

Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe and orderly parking environment. Enforce parking policies, assist guests with inquiries, and uphold security and cleanliness of the parking area.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ticketing and Payment Handling: Issue parking tickets and process payments accurately, including money collection and paperwork.
  2. Reporting and Documentation: Complete shift reports, maintain logs of vehicle arrivals, and parking operations.
  3. Administrative Duties: Label key numbers, record vehicle descriptions, and maintain organized parking records.
  4. Security and Compliance: Conduct inspections, issue notices for unauthorized vehicles, ensure vehicle security, and report safety concerns.
  5. Lot Maintenance: Keep the parking lot and attendant booth clean, perform basic housekeeping tasks.
  6. Customer Service: Assist guests with payments, provide parking information, and maintain a friendly attitude.
  7. Communication and Teamwork: Use two-way radios, communicate clearly, and foster teamwork.
  8. Attendance and Professionalism: Maintain regular attendance, adhere to policies, and uphold standards.
  9. Additional Responsibilities: Support business needs, attend meetings and training, and maintain schedule flexibility.

Qualifications:

  1. Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; customer service experience preferred.
  2. Licenses: Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, clean driving record, pass background check.
  3. Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs., work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  4. Skills: Customer service, communication, attention to detail, ability to work outdoors and in varied conditions.

Work Environment:

Indoor and outdoor parking facilities, collaborative environment, use of computers, phones, exposure to elements and moving vehicles.
