We are seeking a motivated Office Specialist 2 to join our Intake Center team at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility in Wilsonville, OR.

About the Job - Your Role

You will play a vital role in ensuring that incoming Adults in Custody (AICs) are processed efficiently and accurately - supporting intake coordination, file management, and communication with internal departments and external agencies.

You will be responsible for a variety of essential administrative tasks that directly support AIC intake and evaluation. This includes coordinating professional visits and legal calls, maintaining complex tracking spreadsheets, processing sensitive documentation such as police reports and pre-sentence investigations, and responding to inquiries from attorneys, law enforcement, and family members. Your work helps maintain the integrity of our intake process and supports the safety, accuracy, and compliance of correctional operations.

This position is represented by American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). This position may be eligible for Police & Fire (P&F) benefits through Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), as defined by statute.

Minimum Qualifications

Two (2) years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR

An associate degree in any field; OR

An equivalent combination of education and experience

Working Conditions

Coffee Creek Correctional Facility is tobacco free. Use of tobacco products is prohibited within the buildings or on the grounds.

Work is performed in a prison housing maximum, close, medium and minimum-security adults in custody (AIC)s. The AICs have the potential for becoming angry, hostile, abusive, and aggressive increasing the risk to employees for physical injury, death, and/or being taken hostage.

There is an inherent responsibility to provide assistance through recall and/or reassignment during AIC unrest and other emergency situations occurring at the institution.

All employees are required to use a computer for electronic mail and related AIC work systems in the regular performance of their duties. Daily use of computers for extended periods of time is normal. Overtime when required, is mandatory. Some travel and use of a state car may be required including occasional in-state and out-of-state overnight travel.

About the Process - What to Expect

Requirements for Employment

The successful candidate for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility.
