As a member of the Company Owned Stores (COS) Team, the COS Project Manager is responsible for managing and supporting projects across the COS network, aimed at helping the organization achieve simplicity, scalability, and sustainability.

Position responsibilities:

  • Drive Strategic Execution: Support and implement innovative business strategies and technologies that improve efficiency, standardization, and automation across all functions and locations.
  • Lead Complex Projects: Manage large-scale, cross-functional initiatives from planning through execution-ensuring alignment with company goals, stakeholder engagement, and on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Optimize Business Processes: Facilitate requirements gathering, process mapping, and success metric development to deliver streamlined workflows and scalable solutions.
  • Enhance Operational Visibility: Deliver timely and clear project updates, monitor risks, and ensure proactive issue resolution to keep initiatives on track.
  • Foster Collaboration & Alignment: Build strong relationships across all levels of the organization to align business needs, gain buy-in, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Champion Change Enablement: Lead change management efforts, user training, and post-implementation support to maximize adoption and value realization.
  • Promote Continuous Improvement: Conduct retrospectives and lessons-learned sessions to improve future project performance and support innovation culture.
Position requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; at least 5 years of project management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in wholesale distribution or the HVAC/R industry is strongly preferred.
  • Project management certification(s) is/are preferred, but not required for this role.
  • Knowledge of wholesale distribution branch operations, including order fulfillment, inventory control, customer service, showroom merchandising, shipping, and receiving, and sales.
  • Demonstrated understanding of core business functions (e.g. Accounting, Sales, Inventory Management, Warehousing, IT) and their interdependencies for achieving project success.
  • Strong understanding of IT and ERP project management methodologies and lifecycles, including experience with cloud-based platforms and the ability to manage complex projects or strategic programs.
  • Proficient in evaluating improvement initiatives using business principles, financial metrics, and cost-benefit analysis; supports budget development and management.
  • Skilled in process mapping and documentation to support project implementations, business transformation and system implementations.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization (and across any organizational boundaries), including cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Kaizen (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics (D365) Finance & Operations (F&O) is preferred.
