Job Description
The Construction Project Manager is responsible for the direction and performance of consulting, design, or construction management services for assigned projects, ensuring work aligns with project objectives, performance metrics (e.g., client satisfaction, profitability), and quality standards. Key responsibilities include safety, subcontractor management, change management, project control and reporting, staffing, adherence to quality plans, budget, and schedule. The role also involves client relationship management to ensure a positive experience that fosters future work, and accountability for project financial performance. Multiple project assignments may be required.

Note: Candidates must be willing to travel extensively. Current job sites are located in Wisconsin and California.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects involving multiple disciplines
  • Obtain industry-specific certifications, including but not limited to PMP & AECPMA
  • Oversee consulting, design, or construction management services for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with objectives, performance metrics, and quality standards
  • Manage client relationships to create positive experiences leading to future opportunities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • At least five years of relevant experience, preferably in a design firm or field construction setting
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead and manage teams
  • Proven success as an Assistant Project Manager or managing one's own discipline in a lead role
  • Basic understanding of core engineering disciplines and project delivery in design and construction
