Job Description: Field Integration Technician (LTE & 5G)

We are deploying infrastructure for 5G Networks. A telecommunications startup focused on efficient and strategic support to the nationwide 5G deployment, helping OEMs and operators achieve enhanced connectivity for their networks.

The field integration technician will be responsible for integrating new and existing technologies into the network, including LTE & 5G, as per site requirements. The role involves working with the construction crew on-site to complete the job scope, including installation, commissioning, and integration tasks.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and integrate LTE equipment from Nokia, including decommissioning and removing old equipment from sites.
• Coordinate tasks with integration engineers and perform related responsibilities as part of a growing team.
• Possess 1-2+ years of experience working at telecommunications sites (e.g., BTS/radio installation, fiber, telco, light electrical).
• Experience with Nokia LTE & 5G equipment, including Nokia BTS manager, is required.
• Preferred experience with T-Mobile equipment, NSN Multi-Flexi System, Airscale modules, and radios.
• Perform commissioning and integration of UMTS, GSM, LTE, and NR radio technologies.
• Handle installations of circuit breakers, GPS kits, LAN connections, and CPRI fibers.
• Understand IP networking and cable routing.
• Mount and unmount cabinets, racks, and hardware.
• Use fiber scopes and other tools effectively.
• Apply knowledge of project management, radio access networks, backhaul, signaling, disaster recovery, data, and location-based services.
• Maintain excellent computer skills.
• Candidates with PTID and experience in Nokia LTE & 5G equipment installation and commissioning are especially encouraged to apply.
• Own a vehicle, basic tools for wireless site work, a laptop, and cell phone. Ability to work outdoors is essential.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or related field preferred; high school diploma with relevant experience considered.
• NOKIA Certifications required.
• Professionalism and ability to work within maintenance windows (midnight to 6 am) or daytime as scheduled.
• Willingness to travel regionally or out of market as needed.
• Comfortable working outdoors year-round in various weather conditions.
• Ability to work independently and in teams, with problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and climb 12 ft ladders.
• Proficiency with computers and MS Office.
• Valid driver's license and basic hand tools.
