Job Description

Media Specialist TAMs work across all AWS Elemental media products and CloudFront to apply their product knowledge to key customer projects during the specification, development, deployment, and acceptance phases to deploy video workflows.

They collaborate closely with Media Specialist Solutions Architecture teams in AWS Sales to understand customer needs and design relevant media solutions. They also work with customers to transition solutions from conceptual design to long-term production, and may work with AWS Professional Services for customized solutions. While not required to develop software, a background in software development is valuable for understanding complex customer needs.

Media Specialist TAMs are responsible for the long-term operational health of deployed solutions, contributing significantly to customer success. They work closely with AWS Support TAMs and recognize that ongoing support and domain-focused guidance are crucial throughout the customer lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete onboarding and off-boarding for assigned key customers
  • Manage customer health dashboards and collaborate with AWS TAMs and Project Managers
  • Define project requirements and scope feature tickets with AWS Solutions Architects
  • Interface with customer project managers and technical owners
  • Prioritize customer requirements with Product Managers
  • Coordinate with Engineering managers for product delivery
  • Ensure availability of customer test environments
  • Verify product features and test workflows
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams
  • Mentor junior TAMs and Engineers

Note: This role requires working from an office in Portland, Seattle, or Santa Clara/Mountain View.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience with public cloud in a technical role
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years in technical project management, TAM, or professional services
  • 2+ years in a technical role within a software engineering-focused business
  • 3+ years experience in Media & Entertainment market segment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a technical lead in enterprise or customer-facing environments
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Understanding of business and technical needs
  • 4+ years software engineering experience
  • Knowledge of video processing technologies and streaming delivery
  • Experience with AWS or other cloud providers in operational environments
