Overview

As a Food Service Team Member, you will ensure operational excellence of IKEA Food by preparing menu items, maintaining food safety standards, assisting customers, and managing the Swedish Food Market. You will also handle equipment, maintain cleanliness, and contribute to a welcoming environment that embraces diversity.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare and maintain IKEA Food menu items according to the concept, adhering to health, safety, and sustainability standards.
2. Respond to customer inquiries, support informed purchases, and process transactions accurately.
3. Maintain equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform preventive and cleaning maintenance.
4. Ensure cleanliness of dishes, utensils, and dining areas in compliance with Food Safety Standards.
5. Manage the Swedish Food Market, including merchandising, pricing, stock rotation, and sanitization.
6. Communicate prices accurately across all platforms and signage.
7. Maintain inventory, adhere to FIFO, and implement IKEA Food policies for receiving and stock management.
8. Follow food handling, safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations, reporting concerns promptly.
9. Support a culture that values diversity and inclusion among co-workers and customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related experience.
• Experience in high-volume customer-facing environments preferred.
• Knowledge of merchandising and selling concepts preferred.
• Food Handler Certification/Card required within 30 days of employment.

Additional Details

Position Type: Permanent, Part-time (12-20 hours/week). Hourly pay: $18.30 - $26.12. Must have open availability Monday through Sunday. Benefits are not eligible for this role. This is a sensitive position requiring background checks and drug testing. Posting closes around 5/6/25.
