Position Overview

TK Elevator is seeking an experienced Area Operations Director- Service/Repair for the Pacific Northwest area. This position is responsible for leading the success of the service and repair operations within the area, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and profitable project execution. The role involves managing operations to surpass budget goals, developing best practice processes, and emphasizing continuous improvement and growth.

Essential Job Functions

1. Promote a safety culture through training, audits, and safety communication.
2. Oversee service/repair processes from booking to turnover; coordinate with management teams to drive initiatives.
3. Monitor financial performance via P&L reviews, manage budgets, and oversee operational plans.
4. Plan and prioritize elevator service/repair activities, supervise project managers, and utilize project management tools.
5. Visit job sites to assess progress, troubleshoot issues, and perform quality audits.
6. Develop strong customer relationships.
7. Implement strategic initiatives, review bids, and ensure profitability on large or complex jobs.
8. Approve change orders, purchase orders, and other operational approvals.
9. Maintain product knowledge through training and review of updates and supplier information.
10. Stay informed on industry codes and standards.
11. Support company initiatives, participate in meetings, and collaborate with corporate and factory contacts.
12. Potentially oversee project field crews or manage special projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicles Report.
• Extensive management experience in the elevator industry, especially with modernization products.
• 10+ years in upper management.
• Strong problem-solving, data analysis, and technical interpretation skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $140,000 to $180,000, dependent on experience and location. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, parental leave, and relocation assistance for eligible candidates.
