About Our Client
Our client is one of Portlands' largest and well-established GC's in the Pacific Northwest. They span across themultifamily and commercial fields, oversees ground up and tenant improvement projects with a pipeline of $200M.
Job Description
Assist the Project Manager with day-to-day management of ground-up construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
Review and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and other project documentation
Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain project schedules and resolve field issues
Support project budgeting and cost control processes, including reviewing invoices and monitoring job cost reports
Participate in project meetings, document meeting minutes, and follow up on action items
Ensure construction activities comply with plans, specifications, building codes, and safety standards
Assist in preparing and maintaining project schedules using tools like MS Project or Primavera
Organize and maintain project documentation in project management software (e.g., Procore)
Help with procurement of materials and subcontractor services
Conduct site walks and collaborate with field staff and superintendents to monitor progress and quality

The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
2+ years of experience in commercial construction, with ground-up project experience strongly preferred
Familiarity with construction documents, processes, and terminology
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Willingness to work on-site as needed and collaborate closely with field teams
Preferred Experience:
Projects in sectors such as retail, office, healthcare, industrial, or mixed-use developments
LEED knowledge or certification
OSHA 10/30 certification
