Description:

24 Seven is partnering with a top global sportswear client to help them find a Demand Planner for this hybrid position in Portland, OR. This is a 6 month contract with potential to extend working 4 days a week onsite. While on contract, you'd be eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, sick hours and more.


Ideal Candidate: will have a Bachelor's degree and at least 1–2 years of experience in assortment planning, with a solid understanding of financial, product, and inventory planning principles.


WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We're seeking a Global Demand Planner to build clear, bottom-up merchandise plans grounded in the Athlete* and their needs. You'll collaborate with Merchandising, Financial Planning, and Geography Planning to develop multi-season forecasts and assortment plans. Success in this role requires experience planning against key retail KPIs (Sales, Margin, Inventory, Full Price Realization, and Discount). You'll create rolling forecasts using historical and current KPIs to drive holistic franchise planning and marketplace health.


WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Develop multi-season merchandise plans and monthly forecasts, inclusive of sales, margin, and inventory
  • Leverage analytics to plan at the Franchise, Family, and Style level
  • Create strategies to meet Consumer Field of Play financial goals
  • Own franchise Open-to-Buy (OTB) forecasts by Geography
  • Inform future product line plans and manufacturing decisions based on forecasts
  • Drive overall merchandise strategy through data-informed insights
  • Partner with key stakeholders across Geo and Global to optimize business health throughout the entirety of the product life cycle (Franchise Management)
  • Recap and analyze the business against monthly and seasonal forecast expectations, identify variances, share risks and opportunities to our financials goals and adjust plans accordingly
  • Support monthly and seasonal inventory planning and management activities
  • Leverage statistical forecasting, data science and new ways of working to develop plans and drive better decisions pre and in-season


WHAT YOU BRING

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and minimum of 1-2 years directly relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated experience in assortment planning and understanding of financial, product and inventory planning
  • Strong ability to influence and ability to design compelling communication grounded in data
  • Ability to think critically and understand the potential of a style in the marketplace as well as quantify any gaps to financial plans from a bottoms up perspective
  • Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills by developing accurate plans that optimize trade-offs and outcomes
  • Current understanding of consumer and marketplace trend
