Regional Continuous Improvement Manager

Description:

Darigold has an exciting opportunity to join our Regional Continuous Improvement team and play an influential leadership role. In this role, you'll provide expertise and coaching utilizing your continuous improvement skills.

The ideal candidate for this role will have at least 5 years of progressive experience in the food ingredients or CPG industries; and has had exposure to food manufacturing/processing. You will get the opportunity to be the hands-on project manager in a highly visible space. You will have to have a keen eye for detail and be a great communicator. The successful candidate will have a continuous improvement approach to his/her work; a great attitude and the ability to flex your style and connect with a diverse group of people. This role requires 33% travel to PNW sites.

What you will do

  • Possess working knowledge of common methods to define problems, identify gaps in performance, gather supporting data, design solutions, implement improvements, measure results, and sustain results.
  • Serve as a change agent to challenge existing processes in place. Use data to communicate and support the opportunities that exist.
  • Develop a pipeline of Focus Improvement plans and execute them to resolve inefficiencies to drive cost savings.
  • Manage both capital and process improvement projects to ensure desired results are met within the budgeted time and cost.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to evaluate the probable financial and operational impact of process improvement opportunities, maintaining a long-term commitment.
  • Increase efficiency while minimizing costs and maximizing resource utilization through lean and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Have a strong understanding of financial costing, including contract analysis.
  • Advocate for a continuous improvement mindset, methods, and results through training, coaching, and facilitating continuous improvement events throughout the company.

  • Ability to travel between 30% and 70%, mostly regionally within the Darigold PNW footprint.

Education, Experience, and Certifications (Required):

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Food Science, Operations, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of operations experience with progressive responsibilities.
  • 5+ years of Lean Continuous Improvement (IWS, TPM) experience.
  • Lean Green Belt or Kaizen Facilitator certification (LSSI or equivalent).

Education, Experience, and Certifications (Suggested):

  • SCRUM Master certification.
