The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are adding an Account Executive to our growing Fire Protection division in Oregon. In this role, you will acquire new customers and nurture relationships with the existing customer base. You will also assemble accurate budgets and proposals with a clear scope of work based on the customers' specifications and schedule. Additionally, some responsibilities include:

  • Prepare basic system layout and estimate
  • Foster clear communication between customers and the construction team
  • Provide ongoing pricing support throughout the project lifecycle
  • Provide ongoing project leadership throughout the project lifecycle

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud-based software systems
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, construction management, or equivalent experience (preferred)
  • Experience with Fire Protection systems
  • Two (2) years of experience leading and closing sales (preferred); fire sprinkler industry experience required
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs, contracts, proposals, and estimates
  • Knowledge of conceptual estimating (preferred)
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards
  • Ability to interpret RFP packages, drawings, and specifications
  • Ability to identify and communicate project risks
  • Skills in negotiation, active listening, rapport building, and conflict resolution

The pay range for this position is $93,600 - $155,230 per year, depending on experience and skills. A bonus may be included, along with comprehensive benefits.
