Senior Community Manager

Description:

The Senior Community Manager manages over 200 apartment homes in our Portland region. This role manages the day-to-day operations of the property, including team members, daily activities, and property resources to achieve goals and remain in compliance with multi-family operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TASKS:

  • Manage daily operations to achieve established budgeted financial & operational goals.
  • Supervise property staff to ensure goals are met. This includes hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Respond to resident questions, concerns and requests in a timely manner taking appropriate action to resolve and address issues.
  • Oversee the lease process by approving prospective resident applications, adhering to file compliance & performing audits. Manage/complete resident renewals within state guidelines.
  • Process resident move-outs by reviewing lease terms, notice requirements & processing the disposition in accordance with established procedures & legal requirements.
  • Assist in managing owner/corporate relationship working with many departments to benefit the asset. Providing updates & reporting on the property's performance to include weekly & quarterly reporting, meeting time-sensitive deadlines and creating/adhering to an annual budget.
  • Collecting rent, fees & other payments. Managing A/R.
  • Reviewing & processing invoices from vendors & service providers for payment by reconciling work performed & products purchased.


Experience, training, skills required:

  • At least 5 years of property management experience.
  • Proven supervisory skills to hire, lead, direct & evaluate team members.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Yardi software.
  • Prior financial reporting experience. Ability to manage/control expenditures by staying within approved budget.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to read, write and communicate effectively in a team environment.
  • Superb follow through with all assigned tasks. Meeting deadlines that are established.
  • Ability to use good judgement & assess risk while managing & overseeing this multi-million dollar asset. Always being mindful of the fiduciary responsibility to the property owner. Education:

Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.


LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE REQUIRED:

Valid Driver's License and registered automobile.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Travel to assigned properties required.
