Required Qualifications:
- Workers may be required to lift over 50 pounds intermittently and are subject to weather elements of rain, cold and heat. No shorts or open toed shoes. Long pants only.
- Employees may be required to work at various heights of up to 8 feet, which may include working ladders.
- Employees may be required to operate gas powered pressure washing to pressure wash building, sidewalks and other surfaces
- Driver's license and reliable transportation are required as it may be necessary for summer helpers to move between job sites during their work day.
- Employees must be prompt in showing up for work each day; tardiness will not be tolerated.
- Minimum age for employment is 16 years old.

Position Description:
The Beaverton School District is accepting applications for Summer Helpers: Painting Crew at Maintenance Department for Summer support.

7 applicants will be selected to assist in the exterior painting of district buildings during the summer break. Work will be performed under the direction of Maintenance Services professional paint staff and will be primarily done outdoors. Typical tasks will include material handling, scraping and prep work, masking, hand priming and painting with rollers and/or brushes. The typical work shift for the Painting Crew will be 7am to 3:30pm.
These positions are temporary assignments; however, all summer helpers will be expected to work throughout the employment period, with the exception of scheduled return to school for any students hired into these positions. One week (5 days) of vacation will be considered during the employment period providing arrangements are made prior to the beginning of employment, and that it has been approved by the Supervisor. One extra day off will be allowed for students needing to register for school. All applicants must provide a valid email address.
