The City of Beaverton is hiring a Communications Specialist to join the creative group behind citywide promotion and visual storytelling. The Communications Specialist supports the city's strategic communications efforts--including graphic design, social media, content development, printing, and brand identity--and helps ensure that the community receives timely and accurate information about city programs and services. This position is part of a five-person team that serves as the organization's communications experts, advising on communication tactics and developing major communications deliverables. The team also provides printing, graphic design, and mail services for city departments and programs. The ideal candidate thrives on variety and takes pleasure in providing excellent customer service to internal customers, sometimes under deadline pressure.
