JOB SUMMARY
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting the Accounting Department be performing a variety of clerical tasks, including document and report preparation and data maintenance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A working knowledge of accounting or bookkeeping at a level normally acquired through completion of an associate degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience; and
One year experience in accounting.
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects in a timely manner.
Knowledge in the use of various Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent written and oral communication skills with internal and external customers.
Must maintain high level of confidentiality.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare control documents for use in receivable transactions.
Follow established procedures for processing and posting cash receipts to Viewpoint Spectrum.
Create jobs, equipment, and post paving tickets in Viewpoint Spectrum.
Retain documents in Viewpoint Spectrum as needed.
Coordinate with other accounting staff to investigate and resolve any irregularities.
Prepare various daily, weekly, monthly, annual, and job-to-date reports and statements.
Maintain vehicle and equipment usage records for allocation of billing.
May type correspondence, checks, reports as workload requires.
Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
