Staff Accountant - Portland, OR

SightLine Applications, LLC is the leader in onboard video processing. SightLine is looking for a talented candidate to join our empowered team dedicated to exceeding the expectations of our growing customer base. SightLine is an agile, innovative company developing onboard video processing systems for the autonomous vehicle industry (UAV, drone, robot, etc.). We are looking for someone enthusiastic about making a significant contribution.

Purpose of Position

Based in the Portland office, this role supports the accounting team with various tasks while working closely with the accounting manager. As a valuable team member, the staff accountant will provide accurate and timely work while observing generally accepted accounting principles and segregation of duties.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

• Create customer invoices and credit memos
• Answer billing-related questions from customers and the sales team.
• Assist the controller with the month-end closing, including balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare AP payments for approval.
• Ensure proper backup and accurate GL coding of accounts payable and credit card transactions.
• Assist with cash management.
• Maintain vendor, customer, and item records in ERP system.
• Ad hoc reporting.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Qualifications

• Bachelor's in accounting or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Eligible to work in the United States.

Beneficial Experience (preferred, not required)

• Proficiency with NetSuite.

Benefits

Estimated salary range for this position is $70-85k annually, depending on experience.

Compensation includes salary, 11 paid holidays, PTO (20 days earned over the first year), health insurance (100% SightLine covered for HDHP with HSA), dental, vision, life/disability, 401K match, incentive plan, SightLine paid OR PFMLI coverage, schedule flexibility, parental leave, and education reimbursement.

SightLine Applications has two offices: Hood River and Portland, OR. The Hood River office includes sales, software engineering, and support teams. Our Portland office includes manufacturing, software, hardware engineering, and QA teams. The two offices are in constant communication and get together regularly to discuss ongoing projects and new opportunities.
