Th

e Inventory Coordinator supports the Store Program Manager with inventory management and day-to-day operations of the Project Lemonade Store, a program that offers a free clothing shopping experience to youth in foster care. Functions include inventory forecasting, buying and maintaining inventory levels, ensuring visual merchandising standards, and assisting with overall store operations.

The Inventory Coordinator joins a team of seven staff that work closely to execute five programs serving youth impacted by foster care. We aim to operate at a high level of efficiency, teamwork and adaptability. The role offers opportunity for growth at the organization, with potential to expand in scope, expertise and hours.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inventory Acquisition & Forecasting
  • Support buying team with order placement, follow up and receiving of clothing, shoes and accessories for youth ages 5-24.

  • Coordinate and manage donated in-kind clothing from companies or community members.

  • Data analysis and reporting to support buying forecasting using Inventory Management System.

  • Work closely with the core inventory volunteers to support inventory management, restocking and buying forecasting.

  • Transporting and receiving donations from various partner sites and occasional vehicle transport of virtual shop packages to local FedEx or Post Office.

  • Coordinate annual physical inventory count.

  • Day-to-day Store Operations
  • Assist with general management of the store, including opening/closing, restocking and visual merchandising, providing a high level of customer service to youth and family shoppers.

  • Support client intake, scheduling and client service requests using Salesforce.

  • Coordinate order fulfillment of the Virtual Shopping program, which serves youth throughout the state.

  • Monitor store phone, email, and reception area when present, responding to customer questions, WISH pickups, virtual shop pickups, etc.

  • Support team with Store Events, such as Superhero Day or Holiday Program.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years experience in a professional work setting, retail management or administrative support.

  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) or Google Docs equivalent.

  • Flexible and adaptable.

  • Knowledgeable about trauma-informed approaches and a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, access and belonging.

  • Valid Driver's License

Exceptional relationship management skills:

  • Demonstrates a commitment to creating positive and welcoming environments.

  • Communicating with youth, families, and caseworkers on both practical and sensitive matters, in a way that is consistently positive and centers the youth experience.

  • Develop and maintain key relationships with vendors, external partners, etc.

Experience and interest in:

  • Using software systems and managing data, such as client data, inventory reports, etc.

  • Managing a physical retail store, both through hands-on work and supervision of others on site.

  • Knowledge of trending apparel styles and brands in a variety of aesthetics for the teen demographic.

Preferred but not required:

  • Prior experience in retail.

  • Lived experience, or experience working in a youth-serving organization.

  • Knowledge of the child welfare system.

  • A bachelor's degree.

Workspace Accessibility

  • Project Lemonade operates on the second floor of the Lloyd Center Mall with ADA-compliant access.

  • Frequently moving or lifting items of up to 30 pounds, such as clothing inventory boxes or store fixtures.

  • Must be able to move throughout the space or remain in a stationary position during shift as needed.

  • Noise level in the workspace fluctuates based on shopper capacity in store.

  • Transportation of items such as clothing donations or packages will occasionally be required.
