What You'll Do

We're looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Marketing & Proposal Manager to lead the pursuit of new work. This role plays a central part in our business development efforts- working closely with firm leadership to identify project opportunities, shape pursuit strategies, and produce compelling proposals. You'll manage our business development pipeline, run weekly strategy meetings, and stay ahead of emerging opportunities and priorities.

You'll lead the marketing function with a focus on:

• Proposal Management:Drive the development of proposals, SOQs, and interview materials for public and private sector clients.
• Opportunity Tracking:Identify, track, and vet opportunities through databases, client relationships, and market research.
• Internal Collaboration:Facilitate proposal strategy sessions with principals and project managers; coordinate roles, deadlines, and content.
• Content Creation:Write and edit resumes, project sheets, cover letters, graphics, and schedules tailored to each pursuit.
• Marketing Systems:Manage and optimize Cosential (CRM), our hub for project and client data, to improve pursuit efficiency.
• Communications Oversight: Guide the communications and digital marketing team to ensure all messaging aligns with business goals.
• Industry Engagement: Represent GreenWorks in professional organizations (e.g., SMPS) and help foster meaningful connections in the A/E/C industry.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in marketing or pursuit strategy, preferably in the A/E/C industry.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Microsoft Office, and familiarity with AI-powered tools to enhance efficiency in design, content creation, or data management. Primarily focused on an advanced knowledge of InDesign, this is where we create our proposals.
• Experience with CRM systems; Cosential and VantagePoint experience is a plus.
• Exceptional written communication and project management skills.
• A collaborative, flexible mindset and strong attention to detail.
• Confidence in leading meetings, mentoring junior staff, providing team support, and managing project deadlines.
