Position Summary:

As a Certified Pedorthist at Crary Shoes, you will evaluate, measure, and create custom footwear, orthotic and AFO solutions to improve foot health. You will work closely with our team and clients to deliver exceptional service and expert guidance at both of our Portland locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct foot evaluations and gait analysis
• Design, measure, and fit custom orthotics
• Educate clients on foot health and appropriate footwear
• Collaborate with staff to ensure comprehensive customer care
• Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and treatment plans
• Communicate via phone or email with clients and physicians
• Be proficient in using knives and sander to modify/adjust products when necessary

Qualifications:

• Certified Pedorthist (C.Ped) or Certified Orthotist credential
• Proven experience in orthotic fitting and foot assessments
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills & a good sense of humor
• Ability to problem solve, use discernment and exude humble confidence when working with a challenging client.
• Knowledge of footwear and biomechanics
• Able to utilize technology when necessary, including 3D scanners & patient software.
