We are currently seeking a highly motivated Deputy Program Director located in Portland, OR.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management and/or Civil Engineering or related field

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Project Engineer
  • PMP

Required Qualifications:

  • 25+ years of construction management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large projects ($250M+) and start quickly
  • Experience with construction management for water/wastewater projects
  • Significant experience on mega public infrastructure projects (Public Utilities, Transportation, Water, Civil)

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Program Director and Deputy Program Director Administration to ensure overall success of the program.
  • Oversee project delivery teams, ensuring projects progress according to plan and meet safety, cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
  • Monitor project schedules and milestones, coordinate with the Scheduler and Cost Control team, and initiate corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage integration of program-wide initiatives such as system shutdowns or tie-ins, working with operations to plan outages with minimal disruption.
  • Facilitate problem-solving and decision-making on delivery issues, resolving conflicts and expediting procurements.
  • Ensure construction management and contractor teams have support for efficient project execution through regular meetings and status reports.
  • Report to the Program Director on delivery status and assist in stakeholder communication.
  • Support commissioning and turnover processes, coordinating efforts to ensure systems are integrated and tested properly.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including MS Project
  • Ability to learn new software quickly, including SharePoint
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills; detail-oriented

Salary:

  • $165,000.00/year

Bonus Pay:

A bonus may be granted based on individual performance, utilization, attendance, tenure, and other non-financial goals at management's discretion.
