Who we are: The Beam Tech Operations Engineering group collaborates closely with key customers within Thermo Fisher Scientific to facilitate development, ramp, and manufacture of ion and electron microscopy equipment. We are looking for a mechanical engineer to help run technical supply chain initiatives that support our manufacture of ultra-high vacuum sub-micron capable technology. What will you do? Become an authority for the manufacturing techniques used for Beam Tech parts. Evaluate potential new suppliers by visiting them and working closely with their engineering teams to define qualification expectations and resolve quality issues. Develop suite of parts to qualify new suppliers and help guide them to succeed with our strict design criteria. Assist suppliers in gaining new skills and growing capabilities.
