If so then the City of Vancouver may be for you. We're currently recruiting for a Senior Recreation Specialist in aquatics. This position is responsible for aquatic program and drop-in activity organization, planning, implementation, supervision, evaluation and budgeting at the Firstenburg and/or Marshall Center Pools/Aquatic Facilities. Duties may include a variety of the following areas: aquatics, youth, teen and adults, recreational swimming programs for all ages and abilities, camps for all ages, drop-in swimming, fitness / exercise, and swim lessons. This position supervises temporary staff and volunteers and requires the ability to be able to facilitate and assist in all recreational program areas as needed. Duties also include pool, spa or water feature operations, water quality monitoring and adjustments and maintenance. This is a full-time, regular, non-exempt union position. This position is covered under the provisions of an agreement between the City and the AFSCME union. The schedule for this position is M-F, 8am to 5pm.
